These Bright Lost Head Nails (code BLH65T) are made from Carbon Steel and come in a convenient 2.5kg tub (often referred to as a 'TIMtub'). They are ideal for second-fix carpentry and decorative internal applications such as fixing skirting boards, architraves, door casings, and wood trim where a concealed fixing is required. The key feature is the small, lost head which is designed to be punched just below the timber surface with a nail punch, allowing for the hole to be filled and painted over for a flush finish. The nails are 65mm long with a 3.35mm shank diameter. Their Bright finish is plain, uncoated steel, making them suitable only for dry indoor use (Corrosion Rating 1, Service Class 1) as they will rust if exposed to moisture. A 2.5kg tub contains an approximate quantity of 600 nails (based on an average of 240 nails per 1kg). The tub itself is often reusable and designed for trade use and easy storage on-site.
