No need to spot prime, for manual or spray application. For normal applications, one coat is all you need, for extreme applications more than one may be required.

For use on plasterboard, old painted surfaces, gypsum plaster, cement,
concrete, cellular concrete and primed wood. Can be painted 12-24 hours
after application and overcoated with any type of filler, wall coating
or paint.
