Marsh Ensign Gravity Sewage Treatment Plant 10 Person

The Marsh Ensign is a gravity outlet sewage treatment plant sized for a population equivalent of 10 people. Waste enters a primary settlement chamber where anaerobic digestion takes place, and the clarified water then passes into an aeration chamber where diffused air and mobile bio-media support the aerobic bacteria that complete the treatment. Treated effluent and sloughed-off bacteria pass to a final settlement chamber before discharge to a drainage field or watercourse.

The unit has no internal moving parts. It is supplied with Forsheda flexible inlet and outlet seals, a compressor with housing that can be mounted internally or externally, a removable PVC pressure pipe and diffuser conduit for maintenance, membrane diffusers that eliminate dead spots, a 32mm sludge return that balances flow over 24 hours, an access lid, integral lifting eyes, stabilising feet and a keying-in lip for anchoring into a granular or concrete surround. Used for off-mains drainage on dwellings and for sites with restrictive percolation values where a treated discharge to a watercourse or drainage field is required.
