Sika Blue Grit Bonding Agent 5L

Sika Blue Grit Plaster Bonding Agent - 5L

Sika Blue Grit is a ready to use, high performance plaster bonding agent: a blue, paint-like liquid with fine aggregate dispersed through it that creates a mechanical key on smooth and low-suction surfaces before plastering. It bonds to plaster, concrete, painted surfaces and glazed tiles, as well as harder to coat materials such as glass, ceramics, moisture resistant plasterboard, MDF, pre-cast concrete and particle boards.

Stir well and apply one coat by short-pile roller or brush with air and surface temperatures above 5 degrees C, using the blue colour to see which areas have been covered. Allow at least 6 hours at 20 degrees C before plastering, longer at lower temperatures, and seal very porous backgrounds with diluted PVA first. Used for bonding coats on walls and smooth, difficult substrates where a mechanical key for plaster is required.
