Plasson MDPE Compression Stop Tap - 25 x 25mm
A Plasson polypropylene compression stop tap for joining and isolating 25mm MDPE water supply pipe, with a 25mm compression connection at each end. It is rated for working pressures up to 16 bar, and each fitting is individually pressure tested at manufacture.
The pipe is pushed into the fitting and the nut hand tightened, with no tools required; a captive nitrile O-ring forms the watertight seal and a polyacetal grip ring holds the pipe. The stop tap is WRAS approved for drinking water and can be installed above or below ground. Used for cold water services and mains supply connections where a hand-tightened, pressure-rated shut-off valve is required.
