K Rend HP12 Polymer Base Coat - 25kg Grey

K Rend HP12 is a polymer-modified, cement-based base coat using high polymer technology for difficult substrates, supplied in a 25kg bag in grey. The polymer modification gives flexibility and strength along with increased water resistance and adhesion, and it is applied to block work, masonry or stone backgrounds as a stipple coat, scud coat or backing coat for K Rend finishes.

Each 25kg bag is mixed with 5-6 litres of clean water for at least 5 minutes and applied by hawk and trowel at a nominal 4-6mm, then scratched for a key or floated flat to suit the finish. It can also be used as a bedding adhesive for polystyrene insulation boards on masonry. Used for stipple coats and render backing coats where a flexible, water resistant base is required.
