Expamet 130mm Screw In Starter Tie - Stainless Steel

The Expamet SST130 is a 130mm stainless steel starter tie with a threaded end that screws straight into a supplied nylon wall plug. It is used to build a new brick or block wall directly off an existing wall, so the new masonry is tied back without the existing brickwork having to be cut out.

The tie is bedded at least 62.5mm into the mortar joint of the new leaf and covered with fresh mortar before the next course is laid. It can also be screwed directly into a timber door or window frame without the plug. Used for connecting a new wall to an existing building and for extensions in brick, stone, block and timber frame where a mechanically fixed tie is required.
