Birtley CB70 Steel Cavity Wall Lintel - 1500mm

The Birtley CB70 is a standard duty steel lintel for cavity walls with a 70-85mm cavity and 100mm inner and outer leaves, supplied here in the 1500mm length. The open-back profile is roll-formed from mild steel and hot-dip galvanised after fabrication - Birtley's Supergalv finish - so cut edges and welds carry the same zinc protection as the faces, with no painted surfaces.

A factory-fitted expanded polystyrene infill reduces thermal bridging across the cavity, and the lintel achieves 60 minutes' fire resistance when finished with a two-coat plaster system. Used for supporting masonry over door and window openings and for new cavity wall construction where a standard duty galvanised lintel is required.
