Barrettine PeelAway 1 Neutraliser is a concentrated liquid compound that neutralises alkaline surface residues left after stripping with PeelAway 1. It is designed for more porous substrates, where moisture containing PeelAway 1 residue may bleed out and raise the pH of the surface.

Raised surface pH affects both the adhesion and the appearance of future coatings, so neutralising is an important step in the PeelAway 1 process. The neutraliser is diluted 1:1 with water for most surfaces, or 4 parts water to 1 part neutraliser for plaster, and applied by sprayer. Used for plaster and porous masonry after paint stripping and for restoration work where a neutral surface pH is required.
