Arris Rail - 47 x 50mm x 3m Green Treated
A green treated softwood arris rail, 47 x 50mm in section and 3000mm long. Arris rails have a triangular profile, so rainwater runs off the top rather than sitting on the rail, and they are the horizontal rails in a close board fence.
The rail ends fit into V-notched or mortised fence posts, or fix to square posts with arris rail brackets, and feather edge boards are nailed to the rails. The timber is pressure treated green against rot and insect attack. Used for close board and feather edge fencing where a treated horizontal rail is required.
