Redwood PAR Timber - 50 x 50mm 5th Grade, Planed Square Edge
A planed softwood timber with a nominal section of 50 x 50mm, machined from 5th grade Scandinavian redwood and sold by the linear metre. It is planed all round with square edges, so the finished section is smaller than the nominal size, at 44 x 44mm.
The timber is kiln-dried for extra stability, and redwood of this type gives good dimensional stability in use. Used for general joinery and carpentry applications where a planed, square-edged section is required.
